Microlight Aircrafts
It was quite sometime ago, when i was chatting with a xler (regular student) during our lunch about buying a MERC. We were discussing the various prices and models of merc. I admit my knowledge on merc is very limited and only knowledge i had is the experience of selling merc booking long ago (1995 dec to be precise).
I was selling the E class booking and it was costing around 2,200,000 Rs/- for petrol version and 2,450,000 for a diesel version. I had sold the bookings around for 120 cars and had got a nice handsome profit so that i could buy my first two-wheeler.
This friend of mine was telling that i should try the microlight , a mini-version of an aircraft. I was very interested for the mileage point of view this gave the same like merc 6km/lt of petrol and it required no special aviation fuel, and the cost of this without any additions is around 850,000 Rs/- that works out to 19400 $. I am very impressed with the cost and i thought i can afford it. Instead of buying another car which is very expensive and useless to me, it would be nice to own a aircraft where you can fly.
i shall try to get you more details on this aircraft. The one good news i have it now is , its been built in india itself. They built this in bangalore and the company is called Raj Hamsa.
They have basically two variations in microlight
1. X- Air
2. X - Air gumman
They also build gliders , hand gliders and power gliders.
That works out to somewhere around 90,000 Rs to 1,50,000 max. So these all seems to be very interesting and i think my next asset would be one of them . Until then, ther would be no investment to any other asset :!!
The one intersting usage of buying a microlight i thought of is to propose to your girl in the mid air. Tell her if she does not marry you, you would switch off the plane in the middle of the ocean.
1. you can tell her that her love is the most
2. threaten her to marry you!! (jus kiddin, it cant happen with the girl whom i love, she would say ok jus die).
