Movies....Movies..Movies...

For those who are not aware of me.. I am a movie buff. I watch all sorts of movies immaterial of whether i understand or not.

The last french movie i watches was He Loves me ; He loves me not.

What started as a romantic surprise....turned out to be a psycho thriller. I can never imagine the next scene. One of the best movies i had watched in French..

The last but one English movie i watched was The Butterfly Effect. This is yet another mind boggling movie. Imagine if you had the power to undo what you did to save the world and if you ahd walk through all the paths from where it started and if you had the power to go back and correct it .... What if ?

We in MBA are thought about the What if analysis ... this movie is a perfect example of What if? analysis. I would suggest people to have a view atleast once.

The Last movie i watched was a movie made out of a Novel.... Its a just a very normal one... its adapted from Robert Ludlum. The movie is called "The Bourne Identity". Matt Damon had done a wonderful job. I liked him more in this movie than the previous Matt Damon's movie of "Good Will Hunting". Matt Look very young in GWH, where in TBI he looks very smart with the crew cut.

The Last Tamil movie i watched was Anninyan. This is one wonderful movie by shankar , This movie is just shot like one of the Hollywood ones. The Hero has a MPD and the way Vikram acted was superb. There is one scene in which the MPD traverses within split seconds and the way he would have performed within the split seconds made me watch the entire movie for the second time ;)

There is one beautiful song which i like ...it goes like Iyengar veetu Azaghe :)... Anyone there ?

There is a website called sproutt. These people generate julia fractals every day and a new image is generated and displayed.

Fractals

Fractals --- They had cropped up again in my mind. Remember i said exactly couple of years ago in my old blog that i am doing the research.

A friend of mine rejunveated the need to study of fractals. I started enjoying the beauty and i thought you should also enjoy that :)

The basic concept of fractals is that they contain a large degree of self similarity. This means that they usually contain little copies of themselves buried deep within the original. And the also have infinite detail. Like the costal problem, the more you zoom in on a fractal, the more detail (coastline) you get.

Julia and Mandelbrot Fractals are considered to be most famous and there are videos for the same. If you want to download Mandelbrot and Julia AVI files you can download it from the JRAcademy site. There is much more info avbl on fractals its uses and last but not least the fractal images !!

Where is google heading to? What is google's core competency ?

Google started as a search engine. Now is it becoming another yahoo kind of one. The latest release of its IM in whcih the users can talk is a new kid on the block for Google !

Schools of its kind...

Imagine a school where students decide what they want to learn and from which teacher and also have a say about how the institution should be run. Believe it or not, such institutions exist, and they are called Free Schools or Schools of Self Determination or simply Democratic Schools (DS).

Recently, the 13th international democratic education conference deliberated on how to further enrich such schools and expand the concept in the world. Head of the department of psychology at SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, H L Kaila was the sole mental health expert to represent the country at the just-concluded conference held in Humboldt, Germany.

Asians see things differently ?!

There is a recent survey on how the asians and americans see things and they have concluded that they both see things differently. When said asians, the survey was conducted only with the chinese folks and not with anyother nationalities :(

The article still says that the Americans see the foreground and have a short view whilst the asians (read chinese) have a wholistic view and see the background and the entire picture. This research was conducted using the pilipatic movement of the eye (correct my spellling). If you have some time do read this article!!

Hand made rickshaws in US ?!

As Einstein said if there is yet another world war, the next world war would be with sticks and stones. I dont know what einstein prediction gonna be true or not. But defintely technology changes from A to Z, it needs to be back at A sometime (probably more refined).

The hand-rickshaws which are a very popular in India & Singapore is soon gonna make a comeback in US . Its gonna be fun watching US people having a romantic evening on a hand rickshaw pulled by ........ ??

Will INS provides H1 / H2 for these folks who pull rickshaws ... Time is the best solution provider :)

Pollution in the city

Chennai is considered as the least polluted City. Chennai is earlier called as Madras. This has one of the biggest bay of bengal harbour and its next to the Kolkatta harbour.

This is the place i was brought up and i admire this place more than anything else.

There are beaches all over, i would say one of the few lovely places i had been. Anyway, i am very happy to see that the pollution is least here . MNC's are you listening ?? Give lots of good health to your employees.. Setup an ODC in chennai... Knock..Knock..
